Laurie Gaines has a masters of education in the area of special education.  She has recently completed her Masters of Science in Professional Counseling. Effective January 1st, she will be working as a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern and will be supervised by:

As an LPC-Intern, Laurie uses her knowledge of assessment and education to assist students and families that are struggling with learning disabilities, ADHD, or coexisting issues including anxiety or depression.  Laurie understands the impact a diagnosis of a learning difference can have on a student of any age. Through individual counseling, Laurie works with adolescents and adults to assist them in overcoming the emotional side effects of learning disabilities and ADHD.  Laurie also works with students who struggle with school related axieties, including test anxiety, as well as students who have a difficult time with social relationships. 


In addition to Psycho-educational evaluations, Diagnostic Learning Services will offer the following Services:

Individual Therapy (50 min/session)              $75/Session
Interest Inventory/Career Assessment        
    separate from any academic evaluations         $350
    In addition to any academic evaluations           $250

Career assessments will take place over 2 session.  Any additional sessions will be charged at the individual therapy rate.


At this time, we are not in network with any insurance providers.  We can assist you in getting reimbursement from your insurance company.  All services are reimbursable through a flexible spending or health savings account.  All payments for therapy sessions will be paid to Shanna Monahan as part of the LPC Code of Ethics.
